MEET Jess!

Oh hey there friends!

I found myself contemplating what to divulge to the outside world about me and my own little world.

Then I remembered who I am and I’m kind of an open book. I’m straightforward and raw. Sometimes I’ll be your “yes” friend but most of the time I’ll tell it like it is and throw a little jokey joke in there so you know I mean what I say with love. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea and I’m so okay with that! I want your experience in my treatment room to be an amazing experience for you!

I’m a mama to 6, yes you read that right SIX pretty amazing humans. That’s my shock value statement whenever I get asked the timeless question of what is something about you that would surprise people. Following that is when I list my children’s ages and I state that my oldest is 24. The wide-eyed looks I get… Yes, I know I do not look old enough to have a 24-year-old but yet here we are and I wouldn’t change a thing.

I came into the esthetics world around 10 years ago when I started working part-time doing natural nails and pedicures. My youngest kiddos were in preschool at the time and I was a stay at home mom wanting to be someone other than “mom” when they started school.

If you are reading this, I thank you and invite you to read a little more about me.

MY FAVE THINGS

ANYWAYYY
LET'S GET TO THE GOOD STUFF

It was around that time that I started to have significant skin issues and in doing my own research, a client had suggested I go to esthetics school. Looking back I laugh at this story because I had no clue at the time what esthetics really was!

After much thought and countless hours on Google, I decided to give it a try. What better way to advocate for myself and my own skin issues than to learn all I could about skin AND create a career out of it?! It was a win-win for me.

I graduated from the Esthetics program at the College of Hair Design in 2018 and immediately opened my own esthetics shop. In the fall of that year, I was offered an esthetician position at Bryan Lifepointe MedSpa and decided to work there part-time while still managing my own business. It was definitely a very busy time in my life and by the end of 2019, I made the tough decision to close my business so I could make more time for my family.

In December of 2023, my time at Lifepointe, unfortunately, came to a close as the MedSpa closed its doors. I found myself not knowing what to do with my next chapter in life. My love for skincare runs deep and the thought of walking away from this industry wasn’t something I was willing to do. With so much encouragement from my clients and family/friends; JessieBee’s Skin + Beauty came to life!

My creative mind and constant desire to keep learning not only about skincare but the human body is why I’ve taken the leap to start a business again. It's so scary but so exciting at the same time. My knowledge and expertise in this industry is something that I am passionate about passing on to my clients.

No one likes to have skin issues! When we don’t look or feel our best not only is it frustrating but it affects our self esteem and sometimes can be painful to experience. I can relate to it all and often use my own skincare experiences to help you on your own skincare journey.

To my clients who have followed me over the years, I thank you from the very bottom of my heart for your continued loyalty, friendship, and support! To all of you new faces here, let's be friends!

I hope to see you in my treatment room soon!!

Weird fact: I’m not really a coffee or soda drinker.. The secret sauce to my heart is a Spring Daisy from my good friends over at Next Level Nutrition. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out on a gem!! If you do find me at Starbucks you will most definitely see me with a Trenta Green Iced Tea UNSWEETENED in hand. Boujee? Nah.. Your girl just knows what she likes!

When I was younger photography was a big love of mine. People watching and capturing those moments in time is something special if you ask me. I also loved being in the darkroom and playing around with cameras that weren’t digital. The developing process of film is so much fun but it's just not common anymore! I also love designing spaces and planning a good party so if I was single and childless I think I would highly consider being a Taylor Swift Photographer Groupie.. I mean why not?? 🫶🏼🤷🏼‍♀️

The best days off to me are the days when I leave the housework and chores for another day and just hang out with my favorites.

That is a tie between bathrooms and the never-ending laundry.

Coconut!!

This is such a hard question to answer and one that I am often asked.. I love interacting with my clients and forming the relationships that I have as they often feel like friendships. I do also love to see transformations in my client's skin that sometimes may take a few months but it always proves to me how important consistency and patience are.

Tried and true Scorpio gal here. You’ll be fine.

Takeout for sure.

Hands down ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’. Don’t waste your time with the 2nd one, you can't go on with that storyline without John Cusack. I said what I said.

The easy answer is the loves of my life- that husband, those babies of mine, and my Momma.. Superficial Answer? Starbucks, Target, and my Birkenstocks…

“Life is Tricky Baby, Stay in Your Magic”

Native and wild bees are going extinct globally at an alarmingly fast pace and without them to pollinate, our natural ecosystems cannot survive.

How does this affect you and the rest of humankind? Quite a bit..
Bees are responsible for commercial food production and without them the availability and diversity of fresh produce would decline substantially causing a significant negative impact to human nutrition.
